We offer 2 Sessions Over the Summer
June Session Dates and Themes
June 1 - 5: OH, THE PLACES WE WILL GO!
We start with discussing our own family's values and how they relate to the Apogee Code. After we establish parts of our own family's traditions and culture, children will get their passport ready and "pack their bag." Their bags will need to make sure they choose wisely for each country they explore. Their passports are stamped as they have hands on adventures learning about other countries culture, customs, art, cuisines, and famous places.
June 8 - 12: OCEAN EXPLORERS, AHOY!
Get your snorkel and mask ready, because we are diving deep into the ocean! We will learn about the animals, topography, plants, geography, and marine life in the ocean and our beach.
June 15 - 19: COWBOYS & INDIANS
Join us as we pack up our wagons and explore the wild west. Learn about how cowboys and cowgirls survived during the westward expansion, the gold rush, Native American tribes art, folklore, and survival skills.
June 22 - 26: STARS & STRIPES
As we prepare for Independence Day celebrations, children learn about American history through story-telling, arts activities. While making a handprint American flag, children learn about the colors of the flag and it's history. While our founding fathers might not have worn a red, white, and blue tie-dye t-shirts, making it to wear for the upcoming Independence Day certainly will be fun! Even learn about history while creating our own play learning key events and people of the Revolutionary War.
July Session Dates and Themes
July 6 - 10: MEDIEVAL TIMES
The code of a knight is often seen in the Apogee Code. Join us as we make a family crest that represents our core values. We will recreate the armor and weapons, build impenetrable forts with moats, and ensure we have a medieval tournament full of jousting and other competitive games. Stay away from the fire-breathing dragons!
July 13 - 17: LANDING ON THE MOON
How do we get to the moon? Is there life on the moon? Can you do the moon walk? How can you breathe in space? How do rockets launch? Come join us as we explore space.
July 20 - 24: SURVIVAL WEEK
Problem solving at it's finest. Life is full of adventures, and resourcefulness just may be the key to survival. How do you survive a tsunami, volcanic explosion, getting lost at sea, the river rapids, and more? This week is all about exploring the wild world and how to prepare for the adventures of your life.
July 27 - 31: TRAILBLAZERS OF AMERICA
Projects and adventures from American legends such as Davy Crockett, Daniel Boone, Annie Oakley, and Amelia Earhart. Learn how the original men and women of America's frontier shaped our culture. From making applesauce, learning about weapons, and how land was acquired, the kids will have a blast on some wholesome adventures.
