There's flexibility for the children to work at a slower or accelerated pace, based on the child's strengths. Learners are not taught to a test, they aren't held back when they are excelling, and they aren't forced to move on when they haven't mastered the curriculum. Our guides work with the learners to set weekly learning goals and the children earn badges as they achieve their goals.

We value family time and want children to leave and build relationships with their families. The nuclear family's value is core to the foundation and identity to children and we want to support families.

Life Skills Learned.

Whether it's conflict resolution, gardening, cooking, budgeting, starting a business, changing a tire, and so much more, children leave feeling empowered to become thriving adults. We provide independent learning and the tools to help raise kids who are resourceful, resilient, and ready to succeed. Independence, and the trust and responsibility that comes from it, is key to a mentally strong, competent, and growing human. Overcoming obstacles builds confidence and courage for our young learners.

We respect parent's rights and will never cross boundaries. In collaboration, parents and guides help set monthly goals for their children. The guide assists them in breaking the learning goals into weekly and daily activities so they learn time management.

Freedom to Move.

Children have energy and we love that about them! Children can bounce on a ball while reading, spin in a chair, read upside down, sit on a swing outside, or whatever their hearts desire. As long as the child is respecting the other learner's environment, they can be kids. We spend as much time outside to optimize sunshine and fresh air. Children are free to be grounded with shoes off and feeling the earth under their feet.

Faith-Based Relationships.

There's an interview process to ensure that the families who join Apogee Central Florida are pursing excellence and align with our values. No one is perfect, and no one is exactly the same. We want our kids to establish friendships that help them grow in their relationship with Christ and reinforce strong standards.

Guides, not teachers.

Our guides know that the current structure of schools doesn't work to instill life-long learning. Our guides help ensure children have the guidance they need when stuck, lead Socratic discussions, and facilitate an optimal learning community. They advocate for children by helping them set weekly learning goals, providing autonomy, and create individualized learning plans.

Entrepreneur Labs.

The imagination runs wild in our group and individual projects. During that time, children spend time solving problems and create things the world can use. We focus on both a class economy as well as how to market, sell, and establish a business for young leaders. We work with local pop up markets and children can sell their goods to learn about how to monetize their passions.
