We are hiring a full-time guide for the 2025-2026 year!
Our goal at Apogee Central Florida is to spark a lifelong love of learning in all children, while equipping them to impact the world through real-life skills and a deep understanding of Biblical principles. We work with parents and children to create an exceptional learning experience based on time-tested Montessori principles, firmly grounded in our unique set of values. Every step we take is intentional and thoughtful, and our guides hold similar values in our approach to education.
The Apogee Central Florida Difference
Support
We are a small, non-profit with involved directors who support each employee. The leadership team values your professional and personal goals, and leads with compassion and intentionality to help you grow to the vision of your best self.
Autonomy
We welcome and encourage guides and staff members to bring their experiences and best practices into our program, as they align with our values and guiding principles.
Tuition Discount
The Step Up scholarship does not allow us to accept funds for children who's parents receive a salary from our program. Therefore, if your child attends our program, we offer a discount for the amount of the corresponding scholarship he or she would have received for up to two children.
Guidance
With access to the broader Apogee Strong network, you will have access to learn from guides across the country, as well as participate in weekly calls covering the following topics: 1) Leading Socratic based discussions; 2) Project-based learning; 3) Curriculum; and 4) Montessori principles and effective studio leadership strategies.
The People We are Seeking:
Respectful
Humility with the grace to point out the contributions of others, and slow to seek attention for their own. Share credit, emphasize the team, and define success based on team's overall mission.
Growth Mindset
Always looking to do more and learn more. Self-motivated and does not need to be pushed by a manager. Constantly thinking about the next step and next opportunity to improve our processes and ensure an environment that allows children to thrive.
Open Minded and Collaborative
Observant in a group setting to be able to identify when a child needs assistance or when the child needs a little more time to problem-solve without adult intervention. Tends to know what is happening in a group situation, observe behavioral patterns, recognize emotions, and how to help guide children in an effective manner. Good judgement and intuition around the subtleties of group dynamics and the impact of words and actions.
Passion for Education
Enjoys early childhood education and the Montessori pedagogy.
The Requirements
Must be 21 years of age or older.
For lead positions, must possess an undergraduate degree, and either have a Montessori certification, or have a 5+ year history of educating children in a mixed-age environment (parents who have successfully homeschooled multiple children at a time is great).
Alignment with school values and mission.
For positions leading our upper elementary children, an evaluation test is required to ensure understanding of core concepts covered for that group of children.
To Apply
Please email your resume to support@apogeecentralflorida.com. We will send a set of questions back, that we would like your thoughtful responses to, and we will review your resume and answers. Three sets of interviews will be scheduled, and upon an offer of employment, you will need to complete a background check before starting.
